Vanilla Royal

Frequently asked questions

Sourcing, grading, shipping and payment, answered.

What is your minimum order quantity?
It depends on the product and grade. Because our annual capacity is 2.4 to 4.5 metric tonnes, we work best with buyers ordering in the tens to low hundreds of kilograms rather than multi-tonne bulk contracts. Tell us your target quantity and we will confirm whether we can serve it properly.
Can you supply multi-tonne bulk contracts?
Usually not, and we would rather say so upfront. Our full annual output is 2.4 to 4.5 tonnes across all products, so a single large industrial contract would consume it entirely. We are a better fit for specialty buyers: artisan chocolatiers, premium gelato producers, small cosmetics brands and boutique distributors.
Which grade should I order?
For extract and industrial processing, Grade B or C, because appearance does not survive maceration, so you are buying vanillin and price. For pastry, plating and anything where the bean is visible, Gourmet or Grade A. Our grades page publishes moisture, length and weight per bean for all ten grades so you can decide before enquiring.
What are your trade terms?
We quote FOB Semarang and CIF. On FOB Semarang you arrange shipping and insurance from the port; on CIF we arrange both to your destination. A final quality inspection is carried out before dispatch either way.
How does payment work?
The flow is: you send a letter of intent, we return a quotation, you confirm with a purchase order, and payment is made by bank transfer before processing. Please note that our bank account is still held under PT Coffee Nation Prosperity, our former registered name. See the ordering page for the full explanation.
Why does your bank account name differ from your company name?
PT Coffee Nation Prosperity is the former registered name of PT Dans Global Trade. We are in the middle of the name change and the bank account has not yet been reissued under the new name. We disclose this before payment because a mismatch between trading name and account name is a legitimate compliance concern, and we would rather you hear it from us than discover it at the bank. Written confirmation is available on request.
How long does shipping take?
It depends on destination and mode. Sea freight from Semarang typically runs three to six weeks to Europe and North America; air freight is far faster and often worth it for smaller high-value consignments. We confirm lead time with the quotation, not before.
Do you offer organic certification?
We hold Halal, PIRT and ISO 22000, and our cultivation practices are organic in method: organic fertiliser, no pesticide, no irradiation. We do not currently hold a third-party organic certificate such as USDA Organic or EU Organic. If your buyer requires certified organic documentation, tell us early so we do not waste your time.
How should vanilla beans be stored after delivery?
Keep them vacuum-sealed until use, then in an airtight container at cool room temperature, away from light. Do not refrigerate. Condensation on the beans encourages mould. High-moisture grades such as Gourmet need more attention than dry Grade C.
Where exactly does your vanilla come from?
Green beans come from farmer partners in Flores, Sulawesi, Java, Sumatra. All curing and grading is done at our own facility in Magelang, Central Java, so the post-harvest process is under our control rather than bought in.
