Vanilla Royal · Technology
Technology for vanilla growers and processors
Our planned system combines field sensors and grower records in one dashboard to support harvest planning, curing checks and batch traceability
How the system would work
Sensors track temperature and air humidity; bean moisture is measured separately and vanillin content is checked in the laboratory

Field conditions
Sensors would record temperature and air humidity, while growers add care notes and pollination dates for each plot

Harvest timing
Pollination dates help estimate when to check for harvest readiness, with growers confirming pod maturity before picking

Curing & drying
The dashboard would show temperature and air humidity during processing, alongside separate bean moisture measurements and operator checks, with alerts when conditions fall outside agreed ranges

Batch quality
Each batch record would link its origin, harvest and processing history with final grading and available laboratory reports for review before shipment
Our development plan
We plan to start with a small pilot and review the results with partners before expanding
Plan a pilot
Choose a field or processing facility, agree what to measure and review the team’s current workflow
Test on site
Trial the sensors and dashboard, check calibration and connectivity, then compare readings with manual checks and batch results
Expand with partners
Review pilot results, refine alerts and arrange training and support before adding other sites
